About Justice Field

A free, full-size baseball field and indoor batting cage in Shreveport — open to youth, families, and community groups.

Our Story

Baseball has always been part of my life, and one moment from my childhood shaped everything that followed.

When I was 13, my summer team was three days away from competing in the State Championship. Then a rival coach on the tournament board helped push through a rule barring players who lived more than 80 miles from the team’s home base. I lived 83 miles away.

I was left out because of three miles.

That experience never left me. It showed me how arbitrary rules can strip away opportunity, and how much it matters to fight for people who don’t make the rules.

How Justice Field Came to Be

Scott built a full-size baseball field and indoor batting cage behind his Shreveport office. It started as a way to keep his kids close during long workdays. It grew into something much bigger.

Since 2019, Justice Field has welcomed kids, families, teams, and community groups to play, practice, and gather. In 2026, it became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving children, families, and underserved communities.

Our Mission

The specific purposes of Justice Field are to promote the health, education, and social development of children, youth, and families by providing accessible, inclusive, and high-quality baseball and recreational programs, including adaptive sports opportunities for individuals with physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities; to serve underserved and economically disadvantaged communities by increasing access to safe recreational facilities, organized athletics, and positive youth development programming; and to foster teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and leadership through structured athletic and educational activities that contribute to the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of participants.
